dual trunk lights

Has anyone done this? I havent found anything on this. There is another rectangle the exact same size opposite the original one in the deck lid. I think it would be great to add another light and put led's in there as well and that would make your trunk way bright when you need it. Anyone?

Yes, it's been done.

I did it to mine, i also put in the early backing plates for the tails. Since they have a clear window to let light into the trunk when the tail lights are on.

Write up? sounds like a simple splice though huh?

It's two wires, a + and a -. When you get the extra light, get the pig tail that goes with it (make sure it's long enough to reach the other light). And just splice into the wires on the other trunk light.

that was the first thing i did. improves light ALOT! but i thought to myself, how about seom more light. by the LED Festoon bulbs, HUGE DIFFERENCE! then i thought to myself, how about some MORE light in the back of the trunk. added 2 more light in the back underneith the speakers. BALLA!
