New lights! Xenon FTW!!

Just installed my 4500k hid kit. It was brought to me from germany so the brand is unknown to me. They say its a night and day difference with hid's but thats an understatement! All i can say is WOW them lights are BRIGHT!




I also installed custom turn signals. Look for em, they are the led's next to the headlight. This is just a mockup tho, i am eventually gonna install super bright 75000mcd amber leds, and im goin to put a couple more per side. Right now you cant really see em during the day but soon




last but not least i smoked my tail lights using some duplicolor clearcoat mixed with a few drops of black, Sprayed on with hvlp spray gun. Light smoke. Lighter in person.

Looks good. Can't waite to get mine. However, Instead of buying hid's and tails I would put the money into looking for a new e30 or painting yours.

( EDIT )I just noticed those LED's after what I said above, and now I truly think you got it all wrong. GLUCK.

your LED turn signals are pretty cool. i bet you can't see them w/ your HIDs on though.:D

You can't really see them with headlights off either. ^ I like the concept, but not the execution... and that's coming from the guy who LOVES LEDs. If you can stuff 30 or 40 45,000mcd ambers on each side... you might have enough to make it daytime visible from far away. I did 60 5mm 45,000 ambers in each side of my turns and they are easily visible during the day. But that's with an MHW prism smoked lens over there for protection. LED's can easily handle the elements if you seal them, but once you get a large array it's best to have them behind a lens in a housing.

BTW I really dig the DIY smoke job... got pics with the lights on? I'm thinking of doing that but don't want it to dull the prism effect of the lenses because that would in tern dull my LED tail lights.

Why are you wasting money on that car? Either start saving for a good E30 or start saving to get that car lined up and redone. Might be cheaper to get a new car because you'll need paint ($3000 - $4000) and new front and rear bumpers and valences ($500.) You can usually pick up a nice, plastic-bumper E30 for somewhere in the neighborhood of your paintjob and that would probably already have all the things you need to fix already so I'd go that route if I were you. It's a pity about that car though, it looks like it was nice once.

All my lines are straight and I'm a bodyman/painter so the paint is not a problem for me either. I love my car the way it is and I'm not changing anything on it so please don't view my posts if your gonna tell me how i can make it look "better".
BTW Ive had my share of clean, unmolested, stock e30's in the past and now this is what i want. Hate it or Love it its still my car and ill do with it as I please.
