smoked headlights do nothing more than regular headlights, but might result in slight less light output. the internals of the low beams are painted black (all but the projector, bulb housing, and cutoff piece) and the high beams keep their original reflectors, but you add the cross hairs to give the effect that the high beams are smoked like the low beams.

      You're an idiot. Just leave.

And while you're gone, try searching the part numbers 63121385633, 63121385634, 63121386635 and 63121386636, just to get you started...

Uh, super easy, which is why I don't understand why you couldn't do it yourself?

I have the BMWlight.com lenses in my lows with HIDs and there is no melting going on with them i got 6000k 35w H1's in them. They been in there since 11-1-07.

As for the clear lenses with no flutes or wahtever you want to call them. I'd say they would work, but with the stock lense, i think the black would be more dristorted and and have more of a smoke effect to them.

Jason, you have any pictures I can see of your setup? How long and often do you run your hids at a time?

If its longer than 30 to 45 minutes then I found my answer. Thanks!

now i asked what info anyone had, why didnt you just spit out the part numbers if you knew?

I searched realoem plenty of times, and it doesnt specify that the part numbers you gave me where glass lenses. i have seen guys on r3v with thousands of posts say they cant find them..

Besides all the bullshit, you obviously know somewhat more to the e30 than i do. thats understandable.

im not going to argue with you. over spelling and grammer? give me a damn break dude.

its up to you, have a grudge or let it go and forget about it.
It's obvious you don't know what's going on. You come on here looking for help and when someone makes a failed attempt at giving you that help, you cop an attitude. You have 110 posts, the "newb" who fucked up your perfect little thread has 248. Can you add?

As for reading, your post was so garbled and incomprehensible it's a wonder anyone has been able to help you at all. The part numbers I gave you were from RealOEM and I got them the same way you could have, by looking for them. BMW never made lenses in anything other than glass so that shouldn't be an issue and as JasonC already stated, it seems like the acrylic lenses should be fine with HIDs as well. Learn to search, learn to type an understandable question and learn not to bite someones head off when they say something that you don't agree with, and MAYBE you won't get your ass handed to you here...

I think these two top pictures are the closest picture i have with them on with out the camera being blinded. I have had them on for 2-3 hours before with no proplems. It maybe the 55w HIDs that they are having proplems with?

my post count has nothing to do what so ever with my knowledge of a e30. i have completed a motor build, i am helping a friend who has no knowledge of a bmw, but brains in the driving world build a 2.7i with compression to boost. i have rebuild rear ends within hours. i have completed over 50 hours worth of body and metal work on my first e30, and painted it myself, in my garage with a factory color. If its mechanical, to electrical, or cosmetic, i have had my hands working on it.

i dont give a rats ass what my post count says. some guys on here with thousands of posts might not even own a complete set of tools. most people want to take their cars to shops, because they either: 1) dont know how to do it their selves or 2) too lazy to do it their selves. neither one of my two e30's have seen the hands of a mechanic let alone body shop.

So yes, fidhle, i do believe a jumped the gun on a noob, but if it was your post, you would have done it. get over it already dude. not everyone has excellent writing skills. its the fucking internet.

Wow, you sure are the man, huh? Well maybe you do all your own work but thank god for "noobs" you look down on so much because they are what keeps the lights on in my shop in between the high-dollar restorations.

As for your "it's the internet" excuse, that's bullshit. How hard is it to hold down the bloody shift key? Not hard, I even know you can do it because you HAVE to to symbols other than numbers. Just pay more attention to your schoolwork and less attention to listing how much experience you have working on cars and you'll do just fine, kiddo.

Hey Fidhle007, mind if I ask how old you are?
Sorry for the off topic question, but I've been very curious lately as you seem to call everyone kid or kiddo, is that some sort of "newb thing".
BTW i don't think post counts mean shit because I am on this site about 5-6 hours a day just going through all the posts. Just because I don't make too many retarded posts doesn't make me a newb!

Sorry El Gringo for the thread jack. Good luck with the whole lens finding adventure
