No sure what I am going to do. You can use heat shrink tubes, and things will work better I bet. I really do not want to cut them. I might just drill the mofo. -
I figure if you cut the harness and reconnect the wires, then you only have to drill holes for the wires. Thats much better than drilling a nickle size hole in the back of the headlight cap. I just need to know if all the ballast is supply is power.
I don't like the rubber seal that wraps around the wires. doesn't seem like it'll last long.Leave a comment:

I went regular. I am trying to keep from drilling into the cap of the headlight. (the water tight cap, that hides the bulb). I would rather use the existing wiring if I can.Leave a comment:

When I installed some last week, I just used those. What are you trying to keep from doing? I don't really understand. Oh and did you get the ultra thin ballasts or just the regular ones?

As far as I know they can... but reshielding them to prevent arcing sux. I've done it, but you have to shield it well.Leave a comment:

So I was wondering if this connection between the ballast and the bulb can just be cut out. Then just solder the wires together. That way you don't have to cut a giant hole in the back of the headlight caps?Tags: None
