How are you guys going about retrofitting HID's? Are you using them off other cars? or a kit?

Ive got 6k ones in my low beam projectors..
I hate them.. 90% of my driving time (commute) is in the dark.. they just aren't bright enough for me, especially in the rain...
I had 4300k in my Subaru, and they were fine, albeit no projectors, just in the stock housings..
bought them on ebay, for 59$.. plug-n-play, took literally 3 minutes to install..~Rogan

5000k slim ballast (35w i think) through euro projectors
this is the one with a good reflector
this is the one with a bad reflector (showing you this so you know that even with HIDs if your headlights are in bad shape they too are useless)
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I just ordered a set of yellow HID bulbs, to try as a replacement for my 6kKs..
If I adjust my projectors high enough to be useful on the road, then they blind oncomers.
If they're low enough to not blind oncomers, then I can't see shit beyond about 50-60ft in front of the car. I just think they're too "blue", which is NOT what I wanted. I didn't think "diamond white" actually meant "blue"..~Rogan

My elips, by visual inspection, are actually really nice looking.. Inside, I can tell, obviously, but everything visible is in really good condition.~Rogan
