    HID question

well i did a search for this and i only found one thread with a couple of small pieces of advice and that was pretty old so just seeing whats new, what is the best temperature to get HID bulbs at. I will be sticking them in euro non-smiley bosch lights, got em from germany and what not, anyways whats the best K temperature to go with and should i put them in just the low beam, and 35 or 55w? i searched for temperature, color, kelvin and did not get too many results, sorry if this is a repeat.

i suggest 55watt 5k. good that they are going in euro elips.

this temp will put out a pure white light with no blue. if you want a blue tinge go up to 6k. this all also depends on what brand you get. different companies have different thoughts on what temp is what color.

i was looking on bimmerforums with the 35w kit that was only 50 bux and the 55w was 75 bux, after reading a bunch i was gonna do 5K or 5.5K, and for the high beams should i just pop in osram silverstars?

Since I put my HIDs in, I have never had to use my high beams. I have a Prolumen 35w 6k temp kit.

dont skimp on the kit, get as much as you can afford. quality gets better when you get into the $150+ range.

as far as the highs id just leave in whatever is in there as you wont use them that much.

I recommend DDM's 55w 5000k kit. A little over a 100 bucks with the harness cant be beat.

Temperature and 35w/55w is all personal preference.

The combination most commonly considered as the best balance between color and output would be a 55W 6000k kit.

Just get a kit for low beam, and if you feel like it, and you have fog lights, then get a kit for your fog lights.

www.ddmtuning.com sells HID kits at killer prices with lifetime warranties.

yeah definately gonna get DDM, they do have sick prices and there gonna go even lower around thanksgiving, and I figure why not wait anyways, cause I got plenty to do to the car in the meantime, I think ill go with the 6000K for the temp, just undecided about the watts, but seems like 55 is better for only a little more money.

Be carefull with 55w if you lights have plastic reflector. DDMs 6K looks way rice blue, I got one of them in my high beams. DDM also now has lifetime warranty.
