    Factory alarm connector help

    Hello all,

I am having an issue with my factory alarm module.

A wire that connects the ignition for the mobilizer function broke inside the insulation.

I would like to connect the good end into the the connector.

Ideally I would like to put a new female on the end of the wires so it appears factory.

in order to do that I would need the pin extractor, and a new pin.

Anyone know a source for the tool and pin?

I get by now by jamming the bare end of the wire into the end of its mate, but my feet keep knocking it out!

    Thanks
    Joe

There are tons of pins on https://www.te.com
But it's difficult to find what you want through so many parts.

Most of connectors for BMWs of that era were made by AMP which is now TE.

Often, you can use a precision screwdriver to unlock a pin.

      Thanks Vincenze,

I was kind of hoping someone had already done the hard work.

The screwdriver trick probably will work. But the correct tool makes it simpler. (Isn't that always the case?)
