Is the cable soldered inside the radio, or does it simply plugged into the radio internally, in a way that I can simply buy a donor radio, take the cover off of my radio, and plug that uncut cable into my radio?

Those two wires are for the radio lighting. You will need a replacement connector to hook them up to your car. is your car wiring for the radio complete? there's a black connector for radio power.
Here's the power and speaker wiring for an E30 89+ car without premium audio (BMW SOUND SYSTEM)
Here are the connections for the back of the radio
the black connector is for power. it goes on the IGN and GND pins.
Speakers go on the right
PWR ANT is a thin white wire.
Your missing white connector on the radio connects to the white connector in the first pictureLast edited by bradnic; 09-05-2022, 12:44 PM.I BUY/SELL REFURBISHED CM5907s & CM5908s
