On the first page the detailed guide is linked from E30Zone.net. I have not done this myself yet but have it bookmarked: https://www.e30zone.net/forum/viewto...f=112&t=281934

The second mounting point uses the ebrake bolt. The arm rest isn't going anywhere!

100%. Nothing quite beats driving a vintage convertible around Cape Cod during the summer!

It was a pain... The leather is thicker... we shaved it slightly. Was also tough around the door handles and around the seat belt roller thing. I bought 3 new door handles (convertibel top release). One of the few non-OEM parts I used. Went with the ULO handles--figured they were newer than NOS OEM ones. They've been perfect.

Yet what I'm most drawn to is that interior. I've always found this era of interiors not to my liking, yet this car alone would get anyone thinking.
Thanks! When I saw that BMW was still producing new carpets (black only) for convertibles, I jumped (despite the cost). I've never liked light colored carpets... Then things started to snowball... Everything was out for the sound system, and by that point, it felt criminal to put the old, tired interior back in... Was a great winter project, and I've been enjoying driving it all summer on Cape Cod!

Don't see any reason why they wouldn't... All they do is high end custom work. My e30 was the cheapest car they had in the shop all winter:

...and the rest of the middle of the car got the special leather treatment as well. e46 armrest, ebrake, and shift boot wrapped in natural brown... To go along with the visors.

Finally got around to installing the custom visors. These are OEM e30 visors (formerly destroyed black vinyl), that @bmwrestoredseats performed surgery on. We transplanted the sliding mirrors from an e46 M3 into the e30 visors and wrapped with natural brown leather to match the rest of the interior. No more sun glare off the mirrors when riding with the top down! Plus adds a real nice touch to the brown up the middle of the car...

Cluster has been removed... What a PITA it is to get out. Sent to Bavarian Restoration for repair. Should have it back in a few weeks. Was fortunate to be able to get a loaner one from a friend so the car is drivable in the meantime.

Thanks! The tachometer is dead so I need to pull it and send it out for repair. Then the plan is to just enjoy it for the summer!
