I had the 10" versions of those, and IIRC they work well in Sealed Boxes, not IB. When a sub/woofer doesn't have huge XMAX they will be easy to bottom out in IB configuration... plus these specific CDT subs are more of SQ subs, not meant for SPL.

    Good luck.

IMO, nothing with a Qts under .6 sounds for shit in IB

Would those two 8" cdts sound good in a small sealed enclosures inside the car as opposed to the trunk. The are supposed to play well with small air space... I am not looking for real slamming bass as i rarely listen to rap and hip hop i mostly listen to rock/blues and am looking for low end sq to keep up with my components without adding a ton of weight. If i made an enclosure to go in the back seat maybe i could fiberglass it to fit in the rear seat corner with a nice sealed 10 and have it be removable for scca events and extra passengers.

If you have fiberglass skills, make new rear side panels with boxes behind them...

ha i wouldnt necessarily call them skills...but i can try haha...i just bought another e30 today that i am gonna swap my 5-speed and suspension and exhaust into so i might just look into one of your boxes since this car is soooo much cleaner than my current e30. I figure that if i take out the trunk tar it would about equal the box weight. My current e30 was pretty light 2650lbs and i wanted it to stay light but this one id rather keep clean with the stereo install.
