I've considered ditching my Alpine CD player in favor of a single DIN 3 gauge pod and just going with an IPOD aux hook up. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Just need some sort of line converter. Anyone do this yet? (the iPod hookup, without headunit)

Right, I assumed the factory amp would suffice. Most ipod integrations are just that...integrations, so there isn't much on the net about entirely replacing the headunit. I don't want to run a headunit at all. A converter is definately needed, just can't find the right one for this application. Might have to use a combination of connectors. hmmm"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
