Wow great work. You have me wanted to redo mine, and I thought mine was pretty clean."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."

Sorry for the delay in updates, work has had me out of town for the last 3 weekends. I will get some pictures of the CD43 all mounted up, I've tried getting some decent shots but I cant get a shot that doesn't look like ass. The pedals are from AKG.
Upon Luke's recommendation, I got a sub level remote so I can adjust the bass on the quick and easy. Since I listen to all kinds of music I wanted to be able to adjust bass volume without reaching under the seat or entering the CD43 menus... I took a HVAC panel plug and modded the remote to fit the panel plug. Looks awesome installed just above the volume knob.

Luke, what are the odds of the new amp having problems? I went to install it today and it won't turn on either. It does the exact same thing. Whether bench testing it or in the car, my power wires read 13v, but when I hook it up to the amp the voltage drops to around 5 volts. Nothing heats up, no lights, doesn't blow a fuse, nothing.
This is blowing my mind.
EDIT: I'm sending this DOA amp back to Infinity for a second go. I'm not too hot on these amps so far...Last edited by deansbimmer; 10-13-2009, 10:43 PM.

UPDATE!
So, I've been driving the car for about 500 miles now, and I cannot say enough about Lukes lucky sub box. It is amazing how much bass this setup puts out. My amp's sub output isn't very powerful being a 5ch, but damn, I've barely got it running at 60% output to get more bass than I'd ever want.
With the soundproofing and cabin sealing that I did, you can crank the volume till it makes your ears hurt, yet with the engine running and standing outside the car, you CANNOT tell that the stereo is on, much less blasting full bore. The box and how it mounts is so efficient that you can't hear me coming down the street. I've showed it off at work and a couple local car clubs, and nobody has said that they've heard a better sub setup.
Mad props to Luke, (StereoInstaller)

What a shame about that amp. Sure looked like a winner. Harman group USED to have the best QC in the biz, there were never any DOAs, ever.
Oh, and on an entirely personal note, thank you so much for all the kind words about that box. I just decided to build another run just before I move the home and shop about 80 miles south. I was gonna put it off, but threads like this have built some demand for these so off I go to the woodshop, in the middle of moving!
Glad to hear all has worked out so well.
Luke
