    Thanks Luke.
....Recent discovery about the amps: After the third amp arrived "DOA", I decided to check into things a bit further. It turns out the first one may have overheated, but in the removal/installation of the later ones, I must have tweaked the ground cable enough so that it wouldn't provide a solid connection to the chassis. It was tight just enough to throw me off in troubleshooting and show continuity, but when I relocated it and used better hardware to secure it, the amp worked fine. So my conclusion is that the second and third amp worked fine, I just wrongly accused Infinity of DOA products! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend another Kappa5 knowing what I do now.

dude your car is so sweet. A friend of mine told me he saw it at Fry's in Plano a while back. I am about to go the CD43 route, and try to hook up a DICE ipod adapter. I know close to nothing about audio stuff though, but this thread really inspires me.

Yeah you definitely need one of Luke's boxes, it really sets the stage to a royal build.

I forgot what I was supposed to update, but the system is doing well. Except for the DICE, which died for some reason and doesn't show any activity if I connect and iPod. Been too busy to take the time to investigate.

Edit: This AMP Rocks, btw. It was my fault I was having problems, since I fixed the underlying issues the thing has been a champ. Incredible sound, plenty of power, and has never overheated or anything.

Everything looks great, Ive read your thread about 3 times now. Great/clean install.

Hey Dean, dont know if you answered this already, but what does it take to hook up the Dice unit straight to the deck. On their website it says it works with the cd changer plug in the trunk. Thanks.

I ordered the Dice control to fit the e36 CD43, direct from DICE. It comes with an adapter harness to hook up to the factory wiring. So I plugged in one end of the adapter to the headunit, and on the other side (goes to the e36 factory amp) I cut off the connector and spliced the wires into the AudioControl input. It was straight forward.

That reminds me...I need to get in there and track down the culprit behind my occasional ignition/alternator/electrical noise...
