Question to those with satellite radio

I was wondering how good reception is on your auto satellite radio system in the city and out in the middle of nowhere. Please let me know if you have Sirius or XM.I plan on getting this for my GF.She drives about 200 miles to visit her parents in Eagle Pass tx she looses every station worth listening to about 50 miles outside SA with her stock system and her limited CDs get boring. So does bad weather and no mans land effect reception? I imagine it would be just like having satellite TV where weather and some region or topographics do effect it.

EDIT: Just realized I posted here instead of ICE.Can someone move it.

weather does not have any effects. My xm does cut out from time to time under stoplights, not always. It also cut out in the mountains for a minute or two, but overall you pretty much have reception all the time. I haven't had any serious problems.

I have Sirius (Thanks Stereoinstaller1) and love it. It never cuts out in the U.S. but here in Mexico where I live (700 miles south of Laredo) it cuts out sometimes (under obstructions). It worked all the way from Laredo last trip & I just got back from Ixtapa (250 miles further South) and it actually worked better!

        Location shouldn't matter

My friend has XM in his E36 and it seems to get great reception all the time I'm with him. Location, middle of nowhere, town, shouldn't matter as the signal is coming from satellites. The only thing that could have an effect would be overhead obstructions.
