car is 87 325e. im getting no spark. i am getting power at the igition coil, and in the cap, the current is good in the rotor. does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

Have you guys got good connections to the Speed and Reference sensors. The connectors are on top of the valve cover to the rear. They'll be the two on the bracket bolted onto the valve cover. Hopefully the connectors are just loose or just need to be cleaned. Hopefully the sensors aren't crapped out.
IIRC in Bentley's there is a test to check them.Comment

Here you go. I've also heard that if the sensors themselves have oil or gunk on them they won't work properly, so you may want to jack up your ride and clean them off. They will be on the Driver's side of the Bellhousing.Last edited by Quadrajet; 01-03-2014, 12:25 AM.Comment
