LOL, like any street driven, stock or even modified E30 needs data acquisition. ;)

IF YA WANNA COME TO MA' HOTELLLL (audi screen)

I think it looks awesome, but I bet if I had a screen it would be stolen even with an alarm.

How exactly are you going to integrate it into the dash so it looks good? Seems like the back is going to be the harder part to make it blend decently with the dash.

I am questioning why you are doing this in a stock automatic 4 door bronzit 4x4, but at lesat you are doing the tranny swap.

becuase a 4-door bone stock auto bronzit is what i started with... and since i drive this car at least 2 hours a daysitting in NJ/NYC traffic the stereo system is important to me... also i have most of the components already so why not use them...

eventually the car will get either a twin-cam swap or forced induction (most likley a S50) and suspension but considering that i am getting married soon i have more important things to spend my money on right now...

and personally think the 4-door is better looking than the 2-door and my paint is in decent condition so it wont be getting a paint job anytime in the near future

but whatever its my car and i will do with it what i please

my car may be mostly stock atm but that is my choice and a choice that i made becuase i am not the type of person that modifies a car that is not 100% or as close as i can get it in stock form first... (stereo being the exception)

I think its a bad ass idea and you should go through with it.

Looks pretty good, I plan on doing the same thing but im gonna do away with the head unit and get a vga lcd screen that goes where the head unit is and pop out like the alpine stereos with the lcd. or put it down in the center console where i put my spare change right above the ashtray.

I don't think every e30 owner's priority is to have their e30 like a race car.

The "fill-in" for the space between the screen and cluster is obveous. Install HVAC vents on either side of the screen, that way it will flow, and you don't lose your face blasting A/C.
