you never know =P maybe down the road it will do just that.. this isnt really about bling for me.. its just something i want to do... bling is not a goal.. useability is the primary goal here...

supposedly some of the 86 newer e28's don't have the mechanical slides, they are electronic. They still have the slide lever, but there isn't that pain in the but cable attached directly to the vent from them. I'm not sure if this is true or not, our 86 528e dosn't have it but I think it's an early model.

It looks way nice. While I do agree that it would look better if the LCD's casing was level with the gague cluster, that extra filling would look odd unless something was put in that triangle.

if not for bling... data acquisition??? ..... i think it looks cool, kinda overpowers the interior though... might be tight to replace the area where the overhead check relay is placed..... but if you know how to make this a reality you could put it anywhere you wanted to

auto tranny is schduled to come out in january when my buddy is giving me time to use his shop for a few days after he closes... its already all set up to happen.. . just waiting for the lift in the heated garage to do it in.. i still need to order a clutch though... everything else has already been sourced for me by the BMW shop next to my buddys shop

and i drive in new jersey/ny traffic all the time so 9 times out of 10 the stereo/multimedia will give me more enjoyment... i definatley do despise the autotragic tho

nope plus it will be very dark most of the time or maybe even off... normally its only going to display the music being played on a interface that matches the interior for the most part...

i will be using media engine as the interface i think unless i decide to write my own.. and the skin will used with media engine will be a custom made one designed by me to work well in an e30

the only times it would really be bright under normal use is if the navigation is being used (hopefully i can adjust the colors to be darker in that nav app) and if the web browser/normal windows were being used... but that wouldnt be while driving anyways...
