Got my box earlier this week, unfortunately FedEx butchered the hell out of it.
I think I got lucky with only one gouge missing from the sub box.
Fortunately it's on the bottom and will never be seen, and the rest of the box is intact.
Luke, have you considered throwing a layer of bubble wrap in the box? I would have gladly paid extra for some more protection.
The deluxe box came out very nice btw. Excellent work  I have an SSA DCON sub and Sundown SAX 100.4 amp on the way, can't wait to get it all wired up.

So since you suggested it, I will immediately implement that suggestion.
Extra hardcore packaging, price TBA!

Smaller, cheaper, lighter...all part of the plan.

hey luke can you recommend a good woofer, better than the walmart ones, with an amp that would work in this design for <200, im willing to go used...1991 318is --- currently not road worthy
1991 318i ---- 308K - retired

No, I don't think so. Decent woofers (cast frame, 2.5" VC, double spider, woven tinsel leads, etc) are generally about $175 by themselves.
Back in the 80's, a woofer like that was $250, minimum!

So with the money from my recent insurance settlement, im about to make a sad, pathetic, terrible and probably pointless attempt at recreating one of your boxes, but i have a couple questions before the idiocy begins. 1. Would it be possible to post faceplate dimensions? 2. What woofers work best with this design? and 3. Does the woofer sit inside the faceplate, mounted into the box itself Or is it mounted onto the faceplate? If you could help me out before i build 48 and a half of these until i get it right that would be great.
Thanks, Jesse
