I've also pulled the stock tweeters and put aftermarket ones behind the stock grilles.

What are the dimensions of the stock tweeters? I was going to get some premium sound system sail panels because my current ones are cracked and a tab is broken off. Right now I have surface mounted pods riveted to the stock sail panels and I wanted to get some new tweets and possibly sail panels.

      Thanks.

Not sure of the dimensions. I've mounted 1" tweeters behind them before and the CDTs pictured above are 3/4".

I have those same exact CDT tweets in the same exact spots. I popped out the stock tweeters and to fit the CDT's all I had to do was barely sand around the circle to get the CDT to fit. It takes very very minor modification.

I have 1" Alpine Type-R tweeters mounted behind the factory grill, no modifications needed. Looks more stealth, you can't tell there's anything more than stock in there.

Yo Doc, which Focal? Nice stuff there, usually. I am pretty sure Utopia drivers will not fit in tjhe stock mount.

I am currently looking into a Morel dealership, see if I can talk the boss into some Israli high end speakers.

                  They ain't gonna fit either!

David, just about any major brand Neo-type tweet will fit fine. There is room inside the door behind the stock mount too, so it does not have to fit completely inside the sail panel.

I just did mine this weekend. Replaced the stock Nokia tweeters with Cerwin Vega's mounted behind the stock grilles. I had to use hot glue to keep them secure, but besides that they are working quite well. I really like my setup as you can't tell I have aftermarket speakers installed.
