Removing Sill trim to run amp wire

So as I was trying to remove the drivers side Sill Trim I accidently cracked it so I need to replace...after looking at the cost of 12 dollars I wasn't to worried and ended up breaking the passenger side one to :D

Since the two rear sills are little bit more expensive I am trying not to break....does anyone know how to remove these things without snapping. They are secured between the underside groves w/ plastic clips. Is there a speacial tool that allows you to pry up and slide under one of these clips to pop out? If there was enough wiggle room I may be able to slide off...but not sure.

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

See if you can slide yours either forward or backward to get the trim off.

If you can move it 1" it will let go, then you can deal with getting the trim clips out later, and use pliers.

I use a "Panel Popper" and takes me seconds, but I am kind of an old hand at this.

EDIT: forgot this won't work on E30s.

      Buy a panel popper

I probably broke 3 or 4 of them before I was able to get it down. It takes a little practice.

sometimes they come out easy by hand. my drivers side came out no problem. my passenger side wouldn't budge. I broke it and got a used one for like $5.
