I'm pissed off cuz the weather isn't co-operating with me and I can't install the system in the e30.

I can't wait too.I'm wondering how different and innovative it could be.I think would be cool is if the box was a little thicker and it opened like a book. Its bridged and shit I think.I don't even know, sounds good to me.The box will be wrapped in a metal sleeve.

FWIW I adjusted the gains on the amps & all is well. Nicely matched. No need for deck speakers, which is a good thing since the PO decided to egg-shape the driver-side hole so a 5-1/4" won't fit right anymore.

What about inside the car? That's what matters...

What woofer you running? What impedance is it? That 250/1 is really happy at 2 ohms...

Mine is in!! Worked from 9-6 yesterday with zero breaks. Rewired car w/ 16 ga & 3 sets of RCAs. Hooked up amps & HU. Got in & fired it up. Nothing. Amps didn't turn on. I went to bed.

Used another lead for amp turn-on today and all is well. I'm beginning to think that I may need more than my JL 250/1 to keep up with the PPIs & Phoenix Gold combo. You hear more from the mids in the kicks when outside the car than you do sub.

In my car I have a Boston DVC 12 of the rear of an HCCA surf board.
I just did a set up for a customer, an old school soundstream SPL DVC 10 off the rear of a Aura 4ch 150RMS per ch. It sounds great.

Holy crap! I have never heard of this "Sundown" audio guy, but his amps are the exact same thing as my Titanium Power, but a little over twice the price!

So... Just to resurrect this thread with an update, I ended up going with a Sundown SD-1 that I got a very good deal on.

I freaking love this box. It would be wonderful if there were something similar for the E46, but, unfortunately, the folding rear seats mean that it's not going to happen. (I won't give that up.) The battery tray box sounds decent, but loses a lot to vibrating the trunk.

    What the hell!

That is gonna kick ass. HX2 are the shit anyway, especially in a large ported box. Get that sumbich done!
its in the box and powered, just not by that amp yet, and a side note, to fit it in the box i had to rotate it 90 degrees, the wiring connectors were hitting the bottom of the box, theres maybe a couple mill of clearance btw the mag and the bottom of the box.
