Dash swap... remove orange air bag unit?

    Dash swap... remove orange air bag unit?

    Doing a dash swap on a 91 318is. Car now has a Mtech wheel. Would it be ok to remove the orange control unit under the dash? I would presume so, but thought I would ask ahead of time.

      i have a 318is and i removoed all airbag wireing and such with no affects to the car.

          If you remove it completely does the SRS light stay off?

              Thank you, sir. That is what I figured, but wanted to double check.

              As for the light. If you're talking about the on over head, just remove the bulb. ;)
