    Reuse of window lock button

Pretty sure this is a go for my amp install but wanted to put it out there just in case. Any one tried using a second window lock/button... thing, as a amp power cut off wired inline to the remote amp wire.

Cant find a reason it would not work. The button/switch is marked for 12v 15a which is WAY over what the remote wire needs.

It will work, but why not just run a remote from the pin specifically put on your head unit to act as a remote switch?

LOL I am talking about going from the head unit to the switch to what ever is on the other end. IE amp cluster, carPC, etc. More of a click hear to just have a normal radio kind of thing.

It would not normally be an issue but between the little ears in the back seat and the person driving from the passenger seat i think it may be wise to rig such a switch.

make a little more sense? :)

I have mine wired to the pass door switch to turn on the dome lights without having to reach behind or across to the opposite side.
