    LCD monitors, recommendations?

I've been thinking about putting a TV system in my car. Do u guys have any recommendations on which LCD monitors are good? My price range from $400 and down. And does anyone have pictures of their install if they do have one installed in their car? Right now i'm thinking either pioneers/audiovox/clarions. What do u guys recommend.

where are you going to put it? I always thought the area behind the overhead display would be pretty cool. don't know it there enough clearance though.

i was actually thinking the center console where the asytray is at. I'll be removing the ashtray then fabricate a panel and flush mount the monitor in there. That spot behind the display isn't too bad, that way i dont have to look down onto the screen. My neck will actually get tired. It could be best if i could get it on top of the dash, but i figure out how to make it look clean when i'm not using it.
Well the monitor isn't really for me, it was for my GF when she rides in my car. U know asian chicks love those chinese soapa opera, that way she could watch her videos on long trips or just waiting in the car. I have an audio system aready, i mine as well added a TV monitor right, lol. So any recommendations on monitors?

I am not for screens in our cars but I think both you and your gf would be better off with an in-dash flip out screen. It will hit your stalk so you will have to modify it somehow.

Bingo, I think there was a guy selling used comp parts for something dirt cheap, easy way to get movies in your car.

if you want quality (wich i think the e30 deserves) the go with an Alpine. 400 bucks for a 5.8 inch top-of-the-line moniter. check it out.

alpine screen are nice but WAY overpriced 400 for a 5.8 with no touch interface is a joke... you can get highres 7" touch for much less

I'd mount one in front of the driver, along with a full string of christmas lights and some strobes so you'd have even more stuff to distract you from the road. :jk:

                          Alpine, definitely Alpine.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."
