What are the function of the buttons on the remote? The ebay ad says the remote has a aux channel - but the remote has 3 buttons. What do they all do? Can someone host the manual?

if the arrow is unlock, and the roundel is lock like on the BMW keys, the trunk button is probably your AUX, since the alarm was made for models without a trunk release

Isn't lock/unlock on the same button like most alarms?

my alarm remote has separate buttons for lock and unlock, as do the newer BMWs. My girlfriend's mom has an E46, arrow button is unlock, roundel is lock, and trunk is trunk obviously. on this remote it's most likely that the trunk button is the AUX

George, most alarms have separate arm/disarm buttons these days.

I've found a unit with what looks like identical keys being sold for 55 shipped - different (cheaper) looking module. But they don't ship to the states - and they don't have it listed on their web site anymore. I've sent them an email - I'll let you know if it pans out - don't hold your breath.

                    There ya go!

Turns out that Scytek makes the brains for the United piece, but not they keys, so no deal on my end.

Keep us updated, George. I figured out my central locking and am thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these kits.

I was thinking of trying to swap the key blade and innards into an OEM key. I don't know if it would work out due to the thicker key blade on the OEM keys, but I have access to some OEM key fobs so I thought I could sacrifice one of the keys that come with the kit.

                      '91 318is - OBD-II S52 swapped - E30 M3 5-lug - 5x120 BBS RC090 (E39 Style 5) - TCK D/A coilovers 550/700 [SOLD]
                      '87 535i - Vacuum brake conversion [SOLD]
                      '93 525iT - 5-speed swap - 320k and counting
                      '09 328xi - 6-speed

good to know, this eased my fears of buying one and having the unit be a piece of shit.

I'm thinking I'll have to grab one of these down the road. Is $150.00 a bit steep though for essentially "cool looking" keyless entry?

The Roundel button in the center locks it and the bottom button unlocks it. The blinkers and center tail lights also flash when either button is pressed. The third button just flashes the lights.

Considering that the basic system I use is $175 INSTALLED...um, yeah, kinda steep.

that is a $50 system with $100 remotes

This guy swapped the innards from the UAS crappy key into an OEM housing. Since it's a late model car, he also had to make the transponder fit too. But like I said before, UAS now carries better made keys (the $79.95 version).
