I stumbled across this while looking at some other parts. Assuming what he's saying is correct, couldnt I just use the 12v output that is turned on when armed (to disable ignition) to hit the unlock wire at the same time? Or make it hit both wires at once? Also, assuming he is correct, could i use my accesory 12v for the extra button on my remote to do the same thing? What tells the car to un-double lock? Luke?

OK, first off let me say that I am adamantly against "double locking" an E30 electronically.
Electronics are far too crappy these days to trust being able to get into your car with that kind of locking setup. Chinese relays? No thanks!
When you lock your drivers door, then continue to rotate the lock to the horizontal position, that would be 'double locking".
BTW, it does nothing to the starter...
When DL is on, you cannot open the door from inside so if you did have a failure, what would you do?

fyi if the car is double locked you can open it from the passenger side using the key. key goes into door lock, you jiggle it while turning the key towards unlock and the latch releases. it may take a few tries to get it to open.

outer. it's a fallback BMW put there in case your locks go crazy or the battery dies when the car is double locked

understeer is more focused on the e36. e30s lock all locks at the same timeYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Next time I have a ton of time and an E30 that has double lock (neither of mine do) I will try it.
If you look at 5126-0 (of the ETM) it shows a brown/red at the central lock module getting a ground (or so it seems) to engage the double lock mode, but I do not see how that could control the actuator...but something has to run that passenger door, right?
BTW, since you are an E36 guy, have you seen the E36 "Trunk Pop" write up? There is another thing I would love to do to my E30 but can't seem to figure out.
