just bought it from amizon for like $206 shipped. next in line is amps. I need to decide if i want a lot of bass or a good mellow sound. I'm wanting to put the stock bmw speakers in the doors, and put some 6.5 midbass subs in the stock locations, and yes i know i will need to custom mount the midbasses.
then for the rear, i'd like to add either more 6.5's or some 6x9's and then also use the stock premium speakers.
the plan is to run the fronts off a 4 channel amp, and the rears off another 4 channel. then to run x-overs on all four corners. i won't get the amps until i know what i set up, but you guys tell me what you think.

FWIW, I'm putting a JVC KD-A815 into my "new" E34. According to Sonic Electronix, this unit is a 2010 model replacing the KD-R900 that I originally had on order and is exactly the same guts/features inside. The KD-R900 is currently on backorder, but I am willing to bet that when they finally come in they will be offering a closeout deal on them.

It kicks the crap out of MP3 at 320K. WAY better dynamics, clarity, detail. Yeah, its still a step down from even normal 44Khz 16 bit CD, but it is listenable. That is why virtually all of my library is 192K .WMA
