so I know this is going sound newbish, but i was wondering how to install a chip on a 153 ecu board. im having a killer time and i hav e a feeling it shouldent be this hard. any help please?

The 153 is the early 2 board DME. U have to get one board out of the way to reach the chip.

yeah i just tried getting to the board. i just said fuck it and put it back together... i mean what would be the better thing to do for ecus. ive heard people going to the 173ecu, whats the hype on that?

the 173 is basically better in every way, single motherboard, better idle control, better check codes, etc.
