    HOFCO III alarm system..?

My 325i e30 came from the PO with a HOFCO III alarm system. It is hooked up all nice and fancy from some shop, Ronel Systems, in the CA Bay Area that (i believe) is no longer open (i looked on google maps and i tried called the number of the sticker they put on my door, no answer). I would like to know if anybody knows about this alarm, and if there is a way to get a remote for this because the install is so clean and well done that i don't want to replace it.
    Any info? Cool Thanks

That was the only system our dealer would install other then an occasional factory system.

I know I have an old remote or two around but not sure I could find it very quickly. I will give my best shot on finding it and will let you know if I ever stumble on it if I don't find it now.

HOFCO was one of the best alarms back in the 80's. They are long out of business as you can imagine. Probably better off scrapping it and installing a new system. This is what I did when I found a HOFCO in my convertible.

What's the best, relatively inexpensive system?
Dont really car about anything except for keyless entry but if i does come with other goodies that'd be cool.
            Thanks
