Changing the backlights on my instrument cluster

    Yeah I've taken my cluster out multiple times with that exact same steering wheel and with an Mtech 2 wheel and I've never taken the wheel off.

          Where can the lights be bought? Any idea of the name / type / etc to look for? My lights work but they're so old I can barely see them. I've got the cluster out already so now's the time to do it!!

            This is a tough learning curve, but gives good insight into BMW thinking. I have HUGE hands and have one hell of a time, but in my quest for the best I can do, I take ALL that shit apart: I pull all the bezels, the column cover, wheel, all that shit. Mine go together as flawlessly as I can. Plastic shrinks over 20 years.

            Be careful pulling the instrument panel. The mounting tabs are very easy to break.
