    Infinity Basslink

Anyone have experience with Infinity Basslink? It has pretty good reviews.

Curious if you ever got around to buying this. I was planning on picking one up based on the reviews I've read and would like to know what your thoughts were.

I have never heard one, but an installer buddy of mine said they were pretty damned impressive for what they are.

Never got one because they are expensive. Just went with a used traditional sep sub and amp. Didn't know if I could trust an all in one system anyway.

I might want to try that as I really dont want to butcher anything in my Alpina.
Also I have the Alpina additional fuel tank installad, so my trunk space is already reduced...

Went to read a few reviews, and looks like it is good value for monney.
Also the bass volume switch can probably be integrated nicely in a standard dash swith location above the head unit....

Pierre, does your alpina have a rear battery? It is a late model, correct?

              Luke,

Yes, rear battery in rear right compartment. late model from Feb 1988.

The Alpina fuel tank sits basically where you make people install your box.
So a box could be designed, but it would have to be lower.

Also I really am not a big bass fan, but I just want to add bass of what I will do on my B3.

Reading the basslink review, I think that will fit the bill nicely.
Can be found for around Euros 150 here used.

Also this little bass volume controle potentiometer can probably be well integrated above the Hu in one of the blank switch !

What is your professional point of view ?

Interesting, where did you mount it in the cab?

Got a used bigger amp one it's great for me just wanted some additional bass not a rattle maker. It also comes out of the car quickly so i like it and at just over a cubic foot it's great.

I have basslink in my cabrio. It works just the way I like it. I placed mine in the trunk where the battery should be. I still have my whole trunk space.

I have a basslink in my '90 325i. I couldn't find anything as far as mounting it in the trunk. I ended up mounting it to a piece of plywood with the trunk carpet sandwiched between the wood and sub so it wouldn't slide around. Does anyone know how they're supposed to be mounted in the E30? Do you have to drill through the metal trunk floor?

I think fixing through the floor or the back seat will be fine.

How do you like the sound of the basslink in the 2-door trunk ?

Rear seat ski-hole pass thru. It's a sheet of metal, dead center of the seat. Smack it. Seriously. It'll pop the tiny spot welds and you can bend it out like openning a can of tuna.
