    Anyone have a direction they can point me in for this?

    How good are you with mixed-signal systems? If you are comfortable with them, just find any LED/LCD display that will fit cleanly & go from there. You might even be able to pull a digital cluster from some early-mid 90's Ford's & use that.

    There are some really expensive pre-built digital clusters out there by racing hardware companies. Those suckers cost more than an E30 though.

        No Im completely converting to digital. Its for my bike, not my car.

        If you can get my the vdo info, that'd be great unless its meant for a bmw.

          No their just gauges for anything, not only for bmw's for as soon as i find you the info i'll give it to you. They do have digital gauges as well.

              my bike is normally cable driven; i got an acewell gauge which uses a magnet on the rotor bolt and a hals type sensor mounted on the forks ????

              other aftermarket gauge's use a smiliar method

                  Those gauges have a reputation?

                  Im thinking of machining a custom cover for my output sprocket and mounting a sensor to generate a wave off of the sprocket. Only thing I am worried about is a lot of chain shit.

                    I don't mean their gauges, I mean their sender/converter stuff. You can use VDO or whatever you want...

                          Im thinking any inductive sensor will work right? As long as it is an on/off signal produced.
