Well, I have an alpine cda9815 infinity Kappa components in the front and infinity coaxial in the rear, an alpine 50x4 v power pushing them and an MTX 801 mono block pushing to Kappa perfect 10s. It sounds perfect! if you do put in aftermarket equipment you should definitely rewire. i took all of my interior out and used it as a time for cleaning the whole car as well. So don’t really look at it as something you are going to have to do, use it to clean that E30 up. I drove mine for 5 days with one seat until it was completed. I didn’t want to do it in one night because this is my hobby and that’s what i like to do. But now that i am done with it i am clad i took my time with it. Everything is in stock speaker locations tweeters included (for those with "premium" sound). It is just an all around better thing to do if you enjoy music.

Just out of curiosity, why would you need to rewire the whole car just to install a head unit?
The Premium systems have an amplifier in the trunk, the stock wiring runs through that. Amplifying amplified sound isn't good.

Ryan Stewarts writeup isn't there anymore. It seems like it'll give you the entire meal of how to rewire everything and such. I was just giong to cut and crimp/solder, but seems like many has suggest rewired. So.... where else can I go for some help?
