Good source for switched 12V, 5A draw

I need a good source for 5A for my new Spal fan to run on low speed at all times. What's a good place to tap in to? Or would it be better to use a relay? If so, what's a good signal wire to use?

Use a relay, tap off the alternator red wire. 5A is kind of scratching at the limit for stock wiring. (nothing on the switched subcircuit draws nearly that much by itself)

I pulled mineout of the main relay.

Would use a relay, Definately run it off somewhere that can supply more than 5A, since motors on start up can use more than 200% their nominal power rate.

Good point. Relay it is! Easy to get power off the alternator, I just need a signal wire.

One of the wires on the radiator thermoswitch is constant switched 12V. Grab power for the relay on the dist block like mine. There is a good chassis ground up there too.
