    won't start, starter is good

    Car won't start. Starter tested good and fired right up, no noise whatsoever when I turn the key.

    check fuel pump, check for spark as coil, check that sensors are all good. my cps shorted out and fried the ecu so i had the starter engaging and nothing else.

      You're not getting power to the starter then. There is a dedicated power line that goes to it that comes from the power block on the firewall... make sure that all of your connections are solid there.

        It push starts right away, so I don't think it's the fuel pump. I'll try the power to the starter. There's a number pad with a red and green light to the left of the steering wheel, doesn't say anything on it, haven't touched it since I've gotten the car. But the red light is lit and the green light is on. Could it be a security system or something?

          ok so the starter worked when bench tested but not in car. make sure all the grounds on the engine are good. there is bout 4 wires that hook up to it. make sure they are in the right spots. double check grounds is important

              Odds are that's your problem.

              Luckily the starter circuit is super simple, so it should be easy to fix.

                Took out that number panel and reconnected the circuit without it and it started first try.
