    wiring nightmare

recently bought an e30 schwarz cabby... (55k) great deal!! except that this is what I have waiting for me to correct. Aftermarket jvc radio works fine, alarm doesn't. I already disconnected the alarm module. Ideally, I would like to restore the original fader head unit.

wow! I'm so glad my car didn't have an alarm (I HATE fucking alarms, nobody is going to steal your 25 year old POS!), and a stock radio!

after digging into it i found that its not that bad. The factory speaker wires are now bundled nicely together just in case i ever find a stock radio with plugs. The jvc unit is simple as hell... 8 speaker wires and 2 power wires (red/green always hot, gray hot with key turned) and 1 brown ground wire. Radio works fine but I have to figure out how to get my power antenna to work.

The hu has a wire with power coming out of it and I know the white wire from the factory bundle is the power antenna wire but when i connected the two nothing happened. I'll check fuses now and dig into the trunk and see if the pa is getting power. Also i have both a factory amp and and aftermarket amp but neither look like they're hooked up to anything.

A PO's rushed m50 swap wiring, along with the wiring for everything else in the car.

OK, now get those wire nuts out of that car. Those are for solid wire, not stranded and do not deal well with vibration.
