i want to create a switch to shut down the brake lights, preferably using a stock window breaker switch. i was hoping to splice the switch into the wiring, but want to bounce some ideas as to the best method/location to do this. advice?

id have it pretty close to your hands because that window breaker switch is kinda out of the way. especially for the way you want to use it. i want to do that one as my garage opener.

BTW - don't do this. The fact that you needed to ask how tells me that you're not very good with wiring. So what's going to happen is that you jerry rig this up and your wiring will fall apart, and then you break light will stop working one day, and you'll get someone killed. Know what I mean? How about you just pop in the F&F dvd and call it a day?

i've seen it done, and it works for said purposes.
you can do it easier than you think, just look at some wiring diagrams and find your brake lights/rear lights power wire and simple splice into it with a low resistance switch (you dont want dim break lights when theyre on) . ON/ OFF. see what im saying ? seems easy enough. a couple hours, a switch and a DMM and its cake.sigpic
