    breaker to kill brake lights?

i want to create a switch to shut down the brake lights, preferably using a stock window breaker switch. i was hoping to splice the switch into the wiring, but want to bounce some ideas as to the best method/location to do this. advice?

id have it pretty close to your hands because that window breaker switch is kinda out of the way. especially for the way you want to use it. i want to do that one as my garage opener.

BTW - don't do this. The fact that you needed to ask how tells me that you're not very good with wiring. So what's going to happen is that you jerry rig this up and your wiring will fall apart, and then you break light will stop working one day, and you'll get someone killed. Know what I mean? How about you just pop in the F&F dvd and call it a day?

      ;)

Isn't that 100% illegal and could deserve you a ticket if you are followed by a cop... You are mandated to have functionning brakelights... ;-)

the only reason I can think of is if trying to run from the cops at night after turning off your headlights and running lights.

              retarded.

i've seen it done, and it works for said purposes.

you can do it easier than you think, just look at some wiring diagrams and find your brake lights/rear lights power wire and simple splice into it with a low resistance switch (you dont want dim break lights when theyre on) . ON/ OFF. see what im saying ? seems easy enough. a couple hours, a switch and a DMM and its cake.

time to close this before it turns into a shit storm. Sorry OP, but this is truely stupid - if you want to do it, I'm sure you can figure it out.
