    alternator whine?

i'm guessing that some of my radio wires are too close to my alt wires and it's catching the whine. it's pretty annoying, and i'm trying to upgrade my speakers, so any advice?

Whiny alt = needs to be replaced? Or is that normal?

it's only when the radio is on, and it charges just fine. that's why i'm guessing a couple wires are too close.

How about some useful details like what car you have, what deck, amplifiers, how it is wired, that kind of stuff?

Rarely is it wire routing unless the installer was an absolute idiot.

mine does the same thing, but only for the rears because its still powered by the stock amp. i havent run the speaker wire to the amp yet. but my fronts dont whine. its the amp, run the new speakers from a new amp. problem solved.

I feel like it's coming from the front, but I'll play with the fade and verify that. Yours gets higher in pitch with rpms?

Follow my sticky on amp bypass, you will have no more "Audible Tachometer".

It is kind of a hassle, but seriously about an hour or so.

                  GL!

Where's the best place to find your stickys on system tuning? I'd like to dial my system in some more if possible.

Nice! I will do that as soon as I get home. Would an aftermarket solve the problem?

Aftermarket amp? Sure...just make sure your Blau has RCA outputs, run RCA cables (www.monoprice.com premium RCAs are nice) up your drivers side, install the amp in the trunk and all your speaker wires and the remote turn on are already there.

While you are at it, run 3 sets of RCAs and buy a 5 channel so you are ready for one of my sub boxes and a woofer...get amazing sound from your stock speakers, solid clean bass from my sub and keep most of your trunk!
