i'm guessing that some of my radio wires are too close to my alt wires and it's catching the whine. it's pretty annoying, and i'm trying to upgrade my speakers, so any advice?

How about some useful details like what car you have, what deck, amplifiers, how it is wired, that kind of stuff?
Rarely is it wire routing unless the installer was an absolute idiot.Comment

I feel like it's coming from the front, but I'll play with the fade and verify that. Yours gets higher in pitch with rpms?1989 325is / 2.7, 274 cam, e30 M3 5-lug

Aftermarket amp? Sure...just make sure your Blau has RCA outputs, run RCA cables (www.monoprice.com premium RCAs are nice) up your drivers side, install the amp in the trunk and all your speaker wires and the remote turn on are already there.
While you are at it, run 3 sets of RCAs and buy a 5 channel so you are ready for one of my sub boxes and a woofer...get amazing sound from your stock speakers, solid clean bass from my sub and keep most of your trunk!
