    Power sunroof conversion...

So I found a guy on ebay that all the parts required, the motor, the mounting plate, all hardware, everything, he says that he will pack it all together and I can get it for $110 shipped...is this a good deal or should I wait? It's not a pressing issue just a want, not a need...thanks all...

is the check panel headliner trim included?
you need the motor, bracket and wiring harness for the switch.
also if he included the check panel as well then you are golden...lol.

Do you have a manual sunroof? If you do, why do you want a power sunroof? Seems like there are no positives beyond saving some elbow grease.

I am getting ready to convert mine as well, but I already have all the parts.

Manual sunroofs suck, I want power. Taking one apart properly makes all the difference in the world!

Got mine from the junkyard with everything for $50. Installed and works great.

youll need to drop the headliner to do it right, by that i mean to replace the cable guides (copper looking tubes) that go under the roof foam. If you dont do these youll need to get some custom mounting for the motor and believe me its more of a pain in the ass than its worth to try to do that.

Why isn't there a DYI on this? Or am I just as retarded as the search feature?

You can pull the cables out of the guides and then put the ones from the power motor assembly in. It's finicky, but doable.
