Do I need resistors for dome light LEDs?

Or can I just swap in a led bulb of the same style and call it a day?

And any idea if this electronic flasher would work in an e30? Thanks.

pretty sure you need a resistor, my dad (electrical engineer) pretty much did my whole conversion for dome lights and license plate lights, but i know he soldered resistors in there somewhere inline. make sure you orient the LED the right way, diodes have one way power flow...

I got some LEDs that run on 3 volts each, hook 4 of em up in series and you dont need a resistor. Really depends on what LEDs u use.

It says those flashers run on 10-15v, so you can hook one up without a resistor, or multiple in parallel.
