    Fog Light Problems

Hey guys I just recently bought an E30 so I've just being doing miscellaneous work fixing it up and I've come into a problem with the fog lights. The lights wont turn on when I press the button, even the light that is supposed to come on the dash doesn't light up so I don't really know specifically what's wrong. I assume it is either a problem with the fuses or with the wiring. Would anyone mind tell me which fuses correspond to the fog lights, or what else could be the issue here?

    Thanks in advance.

bump to the top. same issue but ive looked further into it. relay for fogs ( k8 ) doesnt make any noise when i hit the fog light button (with my lights on of course)

i pulled out the switch. noticed the switch gives out 4 prongs and the connector could hold 8. wrong switch? or do i have to dig deeeeeeeeper? lol

    thanks

EDIT: wooo. just realized this is def in the wrongggg section. multi-tab browsing fail. mods, please move? lol

Haven't looked that far ahead but I know they are connected. The light in the dash doesn't turn on when I hit the button for the fogs

I had the same problem, pop-out the fog switch, disconect it.
Measure voltage between pins on a connector. If you don't have voltmeter, just take one piece of wire and connect two pins first for front anf then on rear. You should do this with lights on. If fog lights light up, you have a switch issue. This was the case with my car. Then I dissasembled the fog switch, cleaned all contacts, that put it together and tested. Result, working fog lights.

Any updates? I'm having similar issues with mine. No buzzing sound from the relay but yet when doing what jozzzee2000 said, between the two pins, I still get no connection.

My next step is replace the relay, chime in if you figured this out

            Thanks!
