    Quick amp preference question

Ok so I have a lukebox on the way, obcon sub and pioneer headunit ordered. I am now debating which amp. Luke recommended this MB Quartz:

But I found this MTX on here as well and I thought I'd see what opinions you guys have as to which you would choose.

All other opinions and options will also be considered...
    Let the debate begin :)

Precision Power has nice looking stuff

The lowest prices on brand name car stereo and car audio/video products online including car subwoofers, car amplifiers, car speakers and electronics.

They are somehow actually an authorized online retailer

(correct me if I am wrong)

StereoInstaller has mentioned a number of times that the majority of amps (low-end to upper-mid, and even some high-end) are all made in the same Chinese factory with the same poop parts. So really, it probably doesn't matter too much. Really, any dedicated amp is going to get louder and sound better than trying to drive speakers from a HU. ALL HUs use the same crappy 4-channel amp ICs that start clipping and introducing 1%+ THD with any sort of power output beyond ~16W (at the claimed 50W, you are looking at 60-100% THD).

For reference, I went with an MB-Quart ONX-4.80/500 5Ch amp and it sounds fine. I did a lot of mods to the signal input section electronics, but I don't really expect them to have made a really noticeable difference considering how much noise is caused by driving. Get something cheap that you can physically fit somewhere convenient and you will be fine. Considering the price I paid for the amp, and then the crap I found inside, I would say that MB-Quart really shouldn't be trying to claim to be a member of a higher-end anything. Their stuff works, but I saw nothing inside to warrant the MSRP ($380 at the time). If you can score one for $117 or whatever, go for it.
