I got finished swapping in the junkyard High Obc and noticed the backlights were out. so I ran up to the dealer, where I used to work, and the parts guy is friendly with me, gives me good prices...Well the OBC light bar is still 100 bucks. WTF?
I found that a similar bulb is available from radioshack for cheep, I just have to solder it to the small board.
Also I got my OBC from What I thought was a 325e. But the coding plug says 3-1.2TYP, which should be 325i in 1987, according to a website I found. My car is a 90 which I think should use the 4-6TYP.
The coding plugs change things like injector size, tire size, fuel tank capacity, etc.., so if I have changed things like tire size, bigger injectors, axle ratio, should I even worry about the coding plug? is it gonna mis-calculate fuel mileage?
