early model stereo wiring help

I have an 85 basic sound with the fader switch in the dash(6wires):
A1:Yellow/Red A2:Blue/Red
S1:Yellow S2:Blue
E1:Yellow/Black E2:Blue/Black

the other wiring that was plugged in the to OEM unit:
12V:Brown & Purple/Gray
L:Yellow & Yellow/brown
R:Blue & Blue/Brown
(?):Red/Green & Gray/Red
-and theres also a white wire not sure of this one either

Need some help wiring this up to the new HU harness. I havent't been able to find much for the early models

So now, about that harness that has 3 wires per channel, just a brown and 2 yellows twisted, then a brown and 2 blues...well, in this case, the easy thing to do is use those brown wires for the rear speakers, bypassing the amp and run new wire only to the front.

having some trouble picturing the part about bypassing the amp and running new wires to the front.

If you are using an aftermarket HU, you can eliminate the fader and just connect the speaker wires directly to your HU. You also don't need the amp anymore since the aftermarket HU can power the speakers.

L:Yellow SPEAKER POSITIVE & Yellow/brownSPEAKER NEGATIVE
R:Blue SPEAKER POSITIVE & Blue/BrownSPEAKER NEGATIVE
(?):Red/Green +12v UNSWITCHED & Gray/Red ILLUMINATION
-and theres also a white wire not sure of this one either POWER ANTENNA

Need some help wiring this up to the new HU harness. I havent't been able to find much for the early models

At the Head Unit:
Constant 12V+ Red/White
Switched 12V+ Purple/White
Ground Brown
Antenna White
Rt (+) Blue
Lf (+) Yellow
Rt (-) Blue/Brown
Lt (-) Yellow/Brown

At the Fader Control:
Rt Front (+) Blue/Red
Lt Front (+) Yellow/Red
Rt Rear (+) Blue/Black
Lt Rear (+) Yellow/Black
All (-) leads should be further down this wire harness, or follow each to their respective speakers to find the (-)'s.

Original wiring is still the best wires for the E30's sound system. Do you by any chance have premium speakers or non PS?

u didn't see the amp? there is no amp if you don't have premium speakers

+12V ACC Violet/white - > Red
Ground Brown - > Black
Illumination Grey/ Red - > Orange
Antenna White - > Blue
Amp Remote White - > Blue/White

do you know what the yellow & blue wires are at the fader switch? and the other yellow & blue wires that plugged to the oem hu?

Hey Chop Suey.. I have a new to me '85 and need to finish this installation.
After wasting a ton of time reading posts that didn't quite make sense to me, I found your question about the early cars..
Can you give a final 'do this' on the speaker wiring issue? I think I am understanding the six wire lay out, I just need to hear a final word on the best wiring/grounding method that you used.. what stock wires to use, what you may have added, etc.
