I picked this deck up about 2 months ago. So far I'm extremely impressed with the bluetooth connection for calls, phonebook, and audio off my iPhone. Pretty much full iPhone button intigration. The ability to colour match the interior lighting was a selling point as well, though I need to bring down the brightness. $200 CDN for all these features can't be wrong.

JVCKENWOOD's product information Canada site creates excitement and peace of mind for the people of the world through JVC brand projectors, headphones, audio, car audio products and professional business products.

I'll post picks of my install once I get them online.

Interested in seeing this installed. Are you running stock speakers?

I've been in Vegas the last few days. Will try to get the pics up today while I watch the lions win the grey cup. ;-)

Right now I'm running all stock wiring, amp, and "premium" speakers. Does anybody know who BMW sourced the speakers from?

Considering the amp and speakers are 20+ year old the sound quality is satisfactory. Decent mid range and high frequencies once you've played with the on deck EQ. Definately need a Lukebox in the future though...

        Pics:

As you can see I installed the mic for the handsfree in a deadpanel. I used a dremel to cut a small groove on the bottom edge to feed the line through cleanly. Works well even with the sunroof open.

The buttons and display can have something like 30 different colours each. You can adjust brightness as well to further match the colour. To be honest I'm red/green colour blind so I've just guessed a match so far lol.

20 watts a channel is fine for me considering I'm hooked into stock wiring and the factory amp. If I get to urge to up the volume further in the future I will run preouts to an aftermarket amp.

as long as your phones have bluetooth capability then yes.

                    ^ What bernzpeed said.

As long as your phone has A2DP bluetooth it should have no issues connecting for phone calls as well as audio.

I have the older model JVC with Dual Bluetooth and it works fine with my HTC Thunderbolt. It can actually pair up to 2 phones at once.
