it doesn't slide around at all..the case is made from a very thin rubber..so it pretty much sticks there

as for the rest of the system, its got the stock non-premium speakers..which sound f'in good surprisingly. I don't think ill be changed the speakers any time soon..or upgrading anything for that matter. lol i have sooo much other stuff that i want to do to the car before i start lookin at upgrading the sound.

This setup is just perfect for me...i have all of my media with me lol what more does one need really?

Even the Premium stock speakers are pretty shitty... and they are a lot better than the normal ones. If you ever upgrade your speakers you will see what you are missing.

At least you are using the AUX input for the iPod instead of an iTrip. Those things sound like crap.

lol see thats the thing..my friend that knows a thing or two about audio said that my speakers actually produde some good sound...and hes got a gs430

oh and the stupid iTrip crap...its gay, i wanted a direct link to the headunit

when did you pic up that alpine?
I had one of those, like 3 head units ago, I loved that thing. I wish I would have just bought a new one and kept that one and had it rebuilt.
the one that they replaced it with was the first one that they made with a built in equaliser and it took me months to make it sound as good as that one did without an equiliser. I was so pissed off they stoped making it. the guys at the place I got it from kept telling me I was geting such a good deal because they stoped making it. so they had to give me one that was more expensive and had all this stuff that my old one didn't.
but I was still bummed out. I miss that display just left of the volume button the most, the one that does pointless shit all the time while you play music.
you should feel priviliged that yours lasted alot longer than mine did.

i bought the headunit back in september..maybe early october

oh and thanks for the compliments! this head does rock, im lookin for components, sub, and amp to really get the best of it
