    LukeBox...the end?

I think it just might be time to stop selling the $200 "LukeBoxes".

The new plan is offering fully upholstered only...for quite a bit more. We expect that eBay, Amazon and our soon-to-be functional web site should keep us busy...but not so much on R3V. We have sold over 300 of these on here and I appreciate the hell out of you guys...but sales have slowed to a trickle. It is time to move the E30 boxes to the back burner, focus on newer BMWs like the E36, the E46, maybe even the E90.

BTW, I finally have a reliable source for upholstery material, in both black and grey. This is the sexy beast here:

Upholstering these is quite a bit of work so the FU version is $250 plus shipping. They are sexy, but we are talking $75 to $100 more...not small change.

The partially upholstered boxes I have always done are quite a bit cheaper and look the same once installed...but to be honest, I just don't make enough money on them to keep doing it. I need capitol to develop new products (E46 is likely first) so I can actually sustain the company.

I would like to do one last big run of the boxes I have sold here and now is a good time. I will also be doing a run of 12" boxes and a run of 8" boxes.

So, if you are interested in getting one of my 10" boxes, get your money ready. I am ready to take orders for this final build. I would like to build 24 of them all at once so I can finally get my new E30 shell in the shop and get it done. (priorities, right?)

If getting bass in your car is a goal, this is the best money you can spend on your system. You can read all over this forum just how good these perform and just how well they fit.

Thanks again for all your support!

Hmm...that is exactly why I sell amp racks. Turns out most guys don't use the template to make the pretty panel...but the amp rack is inconceivably sexy.

I wish I knew how to take pictures that show just how awesome these look. The LED strip turns on when you open the trunk, there are 2 small fans that cool the amps and the fit is flawless.

I think it might be time for you to get some employee's :D I wish you luck in getting to that stage.

At any rate, guess I better order one up finally. Can you please tell me the weight differences between the 10" and 12" boxes one last time? Can't decide.

Expanding to the 36 and 46 market is a good move; especially the former.

I strongly recommend developing battery boxes for the E36 and E46es as well. If you can co me in meaningfully below WickedCAS, they should sell well to people who are absolutely not willing to consider blocking off the folding seats.

Turn off the flash and hold the camera steady with the timer on or set it on a tripod and timer. It will take clear photos.

So they're 250 wrapped? How much is the whole package box and amp rack?

I'm interested in an e36 box as well.

The real battle of bass is won or lost at the box. Currently I've got my eye on a 15" Fi SSD for use in my e36. Their recommendation for a ported box is between 3~4 cu ft tuned to 33hz. Think that's doable?
I'd be hitting it with 500w RMS to start, but later on will be upgrading to 1000W RMS.

Box building science is just something I should learn more about.
I had some epic fails with backwave distortion, port noise, and tuning with my current system in the e30 (Hifonics Brutus 10" 500W RMS). That was a pretty big learning experience when it comes to acoustic dampening, port flares, using polyfill in moderation, etc... all has since been fixed.

You, Mister Luke, seem like one hell of a knowledgeable dude in the world of audio installs.
Best of luck, and hope your business takes off!

Glad to see you expanding Luke. The e36 and e46 market will be huge for you. Also I need a box for my M3. Although it has the dreaded fold down back seats :/
