My door chime is plugged in and works fine.. Could it be ABS related coz that the only thing that's not working ok?

Generally, if it is orange, it is ABS related

Sorry Luke, but orange is for the airbag stuff. That's one of the connectors that go to the airbag controller, sits on top of the ABS box on late models.

Edit-It is a late model right? Now I'm doubting myself...

I can add that my non-airbag '89 does not have any orange connectors anywhere under the dash, and certainly none that look like that.

I'll be digging around my friends '91 airbag ix tomorrow or saturday. If I remember, I'll take a look and see if he has one.

Most airbag stuff is loomed in yellow conduit or heatshrink. Not sure if this holds true on the E30 though.

I was searching around and was told that it could be an airbag plug coz the late model non-airbags cars came pre-wired for air bag though airbags were not installed. Mine is a 04/89 build, could someone please confirm if in this build the ABS relay is under the dash or it's only on the ABS pump.
