    DDM HID kit

How are they nowadays? Im wondering about both, the raptor and ddm. im buying them tonight/tomorrow so i have a couple of questions. since i didn't know you could get a kit so cheap i never really got into HIDs. but in the FAQ thread it says 6000k is purplish which i dont want yet a lot of you guys have that set and say it is bright white with a hint of blue. Is 4300k/5000k from DDM the way to go? also, i know a lot you will say 35w is all you need but will 55w make me happier from the get go? dont really care about blinding people since most of the dicks in my city drive with their brights on. also, do i need the dual in dual out option?

Just for future reference, there's a lighting forum.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

the 35w 6000k. not bad but a lil too blue and dim for what i was expecting. im thinking 5000k 55w soon unless i get used to the 6000ks and get a 55w kit in that again.

I've got 55w 5000k lows and 55w 6000k highs. They are very very bright.

these kits are garbage. expect your lights to be about 50% as bright as they were new within 5 years.

the 55w kits are even worse. they are just overdriving a 35w bulb, which shortens the life further.

These kits are like 50 bucks or something. Id buy a pair every 2 years if I have to.

I remember reading that all of the ddms bulbs were rated at 55w+.

sure. they're "rated" at 55w - if you don't mind them lasting half as long. ;)

Just like how they will send you your "5000k" bulb. And you will get it and it will be something like an 8000k bulb? They just throw bulbs in a box with some ballasts and ship it to you...lol.

That's besides the point though...my bulbs are still bright as can be! (~~~1 year of use)
